Johnny Unitas was born in Pittsburgh in 1933 and attended the University of Louisville, where he played quarterback during the early 1950s. Unitas later contributed to Baltimore’s 1970 championship campaign. The Colts progressed to Super Bowl V against Dallas, where Unitas started and threw a touchdown pass before an injury forced him out of the game. Baltimore went on to win 16–13 through a late Jim O’Brien field goal.
