At the heart of the design is René Higuita – the Colombian goalkeeper who rewrote the rulebook. Famous for his outrageous confidence, sweeper-keeper style and the unforgettable “Scorpion Kick”, Higuita became a global icon by doing what no one else dared to do between the posts.

René Higuita spent the most iconic years of his club career with Atlético Nacional, where he won multiple Colombian league titles and the 1989 Copa Libertadores – a historic triumph that cemented his place in South American football folklore. He also played professionally for clubs including Real Valladolid in Spain, Monterrey in Mexico, and later returned to Colombia to represent teams such as Independiente Medellín and Deportivo Cali.

On the international stage, Higuita earned over 60 caps for Colombia and was a central figure in the golden era of Colombian football during the late 1980s and 1990s. He represented his country at the 1990 FIFA World Cup, helping Colombia reach the knockout stages, and became world-famous for redefining what a goalkeeper could be – part defender, part playmaker, pure entertainer.
