Kevin De Bruyne is the best creative midfielder of his generation. His passing, his ability to control the tempo of a match and his capacity to unlock defences with balls that no one else can conceive of, let alone deliver, made him one of the most important players in the history of Manchester City and one of the finest midfielders European football has seen. This De Bruyne hoodie from Players Couture is for fans who watched him play and understood exactly what they were seeing. Fan apparel built around a Belgium and Manchester City legend.

De Bruyne was born in Drongen, Belgium, in 1991 and came through the Genk academy before joining Chelsea. His time at Stamford Bridge did not work out and he moved to Wolfsburg, where two outstanding Bundesliga seasons attracted attention from across Europe. Manchester City signed him in 2015 for £55 million under Manuel Pellegrini and his impact was immediate. Under Pep Guardiola from 2016 onwards, De Bruyne became the architect of one of the most celebrated periods in Manchester City's history. He won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups and the Champions League in 2023 as part of the treble-winning squad. He made 422 appearances for City and contributed 108 goals and 170 assists.

At his best, De Bruyne was simply unmatchable in his position. His vision, his range of passing and his ability to play the key ball in the tightest of spaces made him the player that every team wanted and very few could stop. He was named the best player in the Premier League multiple times and is regarded by many as the finest central midfielder the league has ever produced. He left Manchester City in summer 2025 as a free agent and joined Napoli, continuing to play at the highest level at an age when many of his contemporaries had retired.

For Belgium, De Bruyne was the captain and the most important player of a golden generation. He was central to Belgium's third-place finish at the 2018 World Cup and has been the fulcrum of everything Belgium have attempted in international football across more than a decade.
